Real Time Information

In real time as you enter the grades your students grades will automatically be recalculated in your grade book. It will also be available to teachers and parents in real time so they can instantly see their current grades.

Custom Grading

• customize your grading scale or select from one of our recommended templates
• enter different grading scales for each class
• set up "on the border" grades to round up to the next letter grade
• customize weighted or unweighted categories for each class
• enter different categories for each class
• mark assignments as missing, handed in, or excused
• enter a custom comment for each grade that you enter for a student
• automatically drop low scores in a category
• view "what if" grades to see what averages could be if a student would have received different scores

Reports

Post Homework & Messages

SmartGrading allows you to post homework without entering grades. Students can then see what exactly is required in the future. SmartGrading also has a Messaging Center which will allow you to leave a message for an individual student, a single class, or all of your students that they will see the next time the log into SmartGrading.

Security is taken very seriously at SmartGrading. SmartGrading leases our servers from a state-of-the-art data center to make sure that your data is always secure and that SmartGrading is always up and running. This data center provides security measures, including biometric retinal scanning and electronic access controls. A third-party professional security team monitors the entire complex round-the-clock with high-tech electronic, motion and video surveillance to make sure that nothing happens to your data.

SmartGrading servers are backed up nightly for added protection. If you ever accidentally delete your data we can retrieve it for up to 2 weeks for a nominal charge.
